Hojicha differs from other Japanese green teas in that it is roasted instead of steamed. This process dramatically reduces the caffeine content making hojicha a popular evening tea. The infusion is full bodied with a rich toasty aroma and nutty flavour.
Brewing Instructions: As with all loose leaf green tea, Hojicha green tea is best brewed with water below boiling, approx. 80°C. Use 1 tsp of tea per cup and infuse green tea for 1-3 minutes.
